How to Compare Product Price, Shipping and Import Costs

Compare quotations for the same confirmed products, quantities, packing and delivery endpoint. A low product price or freight-only amount is not a complete delivered-cost comparison. Ask for the following details in the written quotation before payment:

• Product price by confirmed model, quantity and selected supply option; any separate packing charges.
• Shipping method, destination country, city and postal code, and the delivery endpoint being quoted.
• Which clearance, duty or tax and final-delivery costs are included, excluded or still awaiting confirmation.
• Order preparation time separately from estimated transport time, plus the quotation validity.
• For mixed orders or delivery to an appointed China forwarder, compare the same packing and endpoint; do not assume consolidation always lowers the total.

This anonymized freight quotation comparison was received on September 7, 2026, for the same proposed shipment to Toronto, Canada: 51 cartons, 4.093 CBM and approximately 570 kg. It is a historical quote example, not a completed delivery, a current rate or a product-price quotation.

Freight price basis

The forwarder quoted a subtotal of RMB 6,191 using 4.1 CBM. The quotation mixes RMB and USD fee lines; no exchange-rate basis was provided, so this subtotal is reproduced rather than recalculated.

Delivery and cost scope

Destination charges were listed separately: USD 90 per set for DO, USD 25 per set for security, and dock charges of USD 1.50 per 100 lb with a USD 65 minimum. These listed charges alone have a USD 180 minimum. Congestion charges are at actual cost; clearance, duty or tax and final delivery must still be checked before comparing a delivered total.

The forwarder described this option as pickup, customs clearance, tax-inclusive service and delivery to the door via the United States. Confirm the transit route and written exceptions before booking; this is not a general guarantee for Canadian shipments.

• Do not compare RMB 6,191 directly with RMB 7,695 or RMB 8,892 as all-in alternatives: the endpoints, separately billed charges and final billable weight must first be aligned. No delivered-cost saving has been verified.
• The door-delivery quotation was valid for one week when received. Listed exclusions included relabeling in US or domestic bonded warehouses, temporary warehouse storage and delivery charges for a changed address. Ask the forwarder to reconfirm the full inclusion and exclusion list.
• For this quotation, the forwarder requested an MSDS and a sea-transport assessment report for toner cartridges before approval. This is a quote-specific acceptance requirement, not a claim that every carrier or shipment uses the same documents.

Air freight, sea freight and DDP scope

Air freight is normally considered for more urgent shipments, while sea freight can be reviewed for larger or less urgent orders. DDP can be discussed where the destination and logistics route support it.

• Customs clearance, duty or tax and final delivery are confirmed for the specific route
• Cost and timing depend on weight, volume, destination and carrier confirmation

MOQ, branding and lead time

IMEDA does not apply one universal MOQ to every item. One-piece sample orders are available for many toner cartridge, drum-unit and chip models. Small pickup rollers and similar low-value parts commonly start from five sets. Final quantity is confirmed by product and order combination.

Products can use neutral packing, IMEDA branding or customer-requested branding when the product, quantity, artwork and packing plan allow it. Normal lead time is one to seven working days after the model and order details are confirmed, depending on stock and quantity.

How IMEDA confirms the requested product

Send the exact printer or copier model, cartridge or OEM code, target country, quantity and clear product photos when available. For toner chips, include the cartridge code, region and firmware information. For rollers and small spare parts, show both ends, gear side and installation position.

• Compatibility references identify the intended machine family and do not imply affiliation with the original brand owner.
• Supply and quality options are confirmed by exact model, application and target-market requirement.
• Models not listed online can be checked manually from a machine label, old-part photo or parts list.
